How to Customize Your Apple Watch Face

These customizations are what allow you to have complications (things like the weather and date) on the Apple Watch  that give you information right from the watch face screen. Here's how to customize your Apple Watch face.

How to Customize Your Apple Watch Face

There are a decent number of options when it comes to watch faces on your Apple Watch. While some of the faces don't offer customization options, many of them do. These customizations are what allow you to have complications (things like the weather and date) on the Apple Watch  that give you information right from the watch face screen. Here's how to customize your Apple Watch face.

  • Hard press your watch face screen to see the options.

  • Swipe left and right to see the different faces.

  • Faces that have a Customize button below can do just that.

  • Tap Customize to alter the specifics of the watch face.

  • Swipe left to see the different highlighted areas you can change.

  • If there are multiple complications on the screen, use your finger to select the one to edit.

  • Then, use the Digital Crown to scroll through your options for each complication.

  • Once you've set the complications, you can often change the color of the face too. Use the Digital Crown for that as well.

  • When you're happy with the changes you've made, press the Digital Crown, then tap the watch face from the menu to select it.
